When home schooling high school students you find they can learn by themselves. And they will go deeper into subjects they like, so they learn them a lot better than they would at public school. Also there are less distractions at home than in the classroom. therefore the teens have more time to learn, or they can cover the subject faster at home than at school. Also you have to go out of your way to help your teen join clubs and groups so they don’t feel so isolated. All they really need is some close friends and if they are lonely they think school will fulfill that need. So make sure they have some good friends and homeschooling a high school student will be easier.
