In today’s world which foreign language should your children learn?

As the world get smaller and easier to navigate which foreign language do you think your children should learn. Well I think you should leave that up to your children. If your child likes a certain country then he or she

should attempt to learn the language. I like to think of children who like to watch Japanese cartoons in the Japanese language.

My daughter loves watching most Japanese cartoons and I am sure she can speak some Japanese now. It would be a lot better if she did try to learn the language but she has no interest in the language at all.

I have seen her watch dvds with no subtitles, so she must understand what is going on. I asked her once and she said she understood what they were saying. Another time we were on Second Life and she could understand the Japanese but she didn’t say anything.

I think Spanish is possibly the best language to learn as it is spoken in a number of countries and on the internet it is spoken quite frequently.

But the language of the future is Chinese or that is what a lot of people are saying. In China all school children learn English so why shouldn’t we learn some Chinese. Also at the present time that is to do with the Olympics. But China could possibly be the next superpower so why not get a head start and get your kids to learn Chinese.

Learning another language is good for you brain and into today’s modern world you really should be able to speak another language. People in the English speaking world are the losers as we only learn English. In most other countries the school children learn English as a second language.
