Home schooling moms are teaching their children for any number of reasons.

Why you want to become a home school mom in the first place is up to you. There are as many reasons for being a home school mom as there are homeschooling moms. But for whatever reason you choose to

become a homeschooling mom we think it is the right decision. This way you can teach your children what they need to know in a relaxed atmosphere.

Home schooling is about organization and time management, and you can plan how to teach your children

You don’t need to follow a book like you do in school but you still need to teach your children what they would learn in school. Being a homeschool mom is not new. Before organized school every mom was a home school.

Now we have the internet and that means other homeschool moms are only a few clicks away. If you have any problems just find a forum or blog and there will always be somebody out there who will help you.

Also you do not have to worry about what the neighbors will say.

Because you now have your own network of homeschool moms you can rely on when things don’t go as planned. I think one of the main problems with homeschooled kids is they do not have many opportunities to make friends their own age. So you as a homeschool mum should make the effort to put you kids in groups so they can make new friends.

I prefer real friends as opposed to virtual friends so that could mean scouts or football or any sport or hobby. I sent my kids to self defense classes and that kept them occupied with other kids their own age.

Anyway for more information about home schooling see our Homeschooling Page.

Thank you for your time
