                                                                                                                                       growing vegetables

Growing vegetables is one of the easiest ways of saving money and eating healthily

Growing vegetables is actually quite easy, as you only need sunlight and water for a seed to grow and some soil to plant it in. So if you want to turn your lawn into a vegetable garden just start off by dropping a few squash, pumpkin or watermelon seeds under a leaky tap. Now watch as they invade your lawn.

To keep the squash vegetable plants under control lay the runners along the side of the house or along the fence and this way you will still have some lawn to mow.

When you start growing vegetables don’t worry about all the technical stuff like NPK and Ph.

Vegetables will grow given sun and water and the big problem usually is growing too many of one type of vegetable. If you do you’ll end up eating the same vegetable for breakfast, lunch and soup for dinner, unless you have lots and lots of relatives.

Another big problem when growing vegetables is you are not the only ones who want to eat them.

You will be at war with every bug and pest that likes eating fresh vegetables so learn to live with them and you’ll be okay. If you can get some chickens and let them lose in your vegetable garden and they’ll clean up anything that moves as well as give you eggs. If you don’t know what to plant just go down to your local garden center and plant what they are selling as they know what grows well in your area.

So if you are into organic gardening or are thinking of turning your lawn into a garden you have come to the right place. Browse the site and check out what we have to offer.

Check out our recommended products and see what you think, but now is the time to stop thinking and just throw a few seeds around the house to see what happens.

Thank you for your time
