This is changing learning from looking to feeling. And children who are getting left behind usually have trouble learning by looking, but they can learn by using a different approach.

So if your child has problems with reading it is time to change the approach and see if that makes a difference.

Reading is very important so make sure your children can read. With math it is slightly different. It means getting the basics of math under control and then moving on.

My kid was having problems because in the 4^th grade they bring in geometry so I had her do multiplying and adding and subtracting until she could do them in her head then we moved on. The problem was she had not mastered the basics.
