The cause and effect of global warming is still being hotly debated

Nobody is really sure about the cause and effect of global warming but there are a number of scientific theories floating around. At the moment the most dominant theory about the cause and effect of global warming

has been put forward by the Al Gore side with his Inconvenient Truth movie.

They believe the cause of global warming is human activities caused by the burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil

And if you watch the movie the effects are quite horrendous with millions of people being displaced around the globe. Causing mass migrations of people from low lying areas that have been flooded by the rising sea levels caused by the glaciers melting. A pretty grim picture to say the least.

Since they have not seen the connection between our rising population and global warming they have not suggested someway to control the population. They showed the graph of the population growth but stopped short of saying anything about limiting the population.

If human activities are causing global warming then we should be looking at population control and so far nobody in their camp has even squeaked about population control.

So I think they are not too serious about global warming. Population control can be done, China has done it. The other side say the cause of global warming is part of the cycle of the planet and there is nothing we can do about it.

After watching the National Geographic documentary (Nov 2007) about ‘Who Built The Pyramids’, which showed the Western desert was like a savannah about 10,000 years ago, I would tend to think that nature has a big part to play in the cause and effect of global warming. Both sides do agree on the effect of global warming and that is mass migrations from areas affected by climate change.
